New Theme: iNove

April 3rd, 2009 Chris Comments off

Ok, so the default theme for WordPress (kubrick) looks good, and has served well, but it’s time for something new. I have just stumbled upon this one called iNove (English translation). So far I’m liking it, so we’ll see how things go.

Sweetcron

So I’ve been having a little play around with Sweetcron earlier today. So far I’m pretty impressed with it, except that I’ll have a bit of work to do in terms of styling, but that’s ok. This is what I have so far. Tell me what you think.

Site Update

February 12th, 2009 Chris Comments off

I imported all the content from my previous host, so everything should appear as normal. I’m still using the default theme for now as that is the least of worries for now. Besides, I don’t really mine it. :p

I’m going to be implementing a few new changes around here, the first of which has already been applied. Post that are older the 60 days will have commenting disabled. Who really comments on old posts anyway?? I’ve noticed no one except for spammers, so this will cut that down. I’ve also installed WP Super Cache, but have it running in Half-On mode so mobile users wont be affected.

That is all for now. Other changes will be announced as they are implemented.

Once everything has settled down and things are back to normal, I’m now planing to get back into blogging a bit, so do stay tunned and keep watching this blog.

RSS is working again

June 13th, 2008 Chris 2 comments

I noticed today that my feed wasn’t being updated in Google Reader, so I decided to investige the problem. It turned out that the wp-rss2.php file was showing an empty feed, though the /feed/ link was fine. I have since changed feedburner to read the /feed/ link, and now it should all be fine.

Anyone else having this problem can see here for more information about this.

Back to 2 colums

January 9th, 2008 Chris Comments off

As much as I have loved the single column layout provided by K2, I have found it to be rather annoying having to scroll to the bottom all the time, and I have grown to love my sidebar, so I have gone back to the default 2 columns. This also allows me to show a few things on my sidebar when someone visits this blog like my Facebook status and my Xbox Live gamercard.
