My name is Chris and I’m an Aussie!! Currently married and living in Shellharbour City, NSW, AU, I’m just some random guy who has a passion for technology of any sorts. I love my iPhone3G. I think it is just the best thing since sliced bread.
I like to dabble a bit in coding for websites, and I’m sorta learning PHP when I get around to it. Also a keen novice photographer and you can see some of my photos on my flickr account.
Gaming is a great pass time for me, and I love to jump online when ever I can. I only play on Xbox Live at this point in time and my gamertag is cjsimmons. Check out my Xbox Live page for more information.
I am also a christian. I believe in God Almighty and that he sent his son Jesus Christ to this Earth for each and everyone of us.
About This Site
This site has gone throught many changes over it’s life. I have forgotten many of the details, but I started it almost 5 years ago. I started hosting it my self from my home internet connection, but about 2 years ago, made the move to paid hosting. I ended up going with DreamHost as they had a promotion on at one stage from US$7.95 for 12 months. Couldn’t refuse an offer like that.
As of Feburary 2009, I’m now hosting with a smaller Australian based webhost called COVE. I made the move due to financial reasons, and also due to the fact that the AU$ was falling against the US$ and the cost was increasing.
At present, cjsimmons.net is running on WordPress 2.7.1 with almost a dozen plugins installed for added features. It is optimized for browsing via the Apple iPhone, and although other mobile devices may work, they are untested as I don’t have any to test with.
