iPhone 3G + Android 2.2.1

Just finished installing android froyo onto my old iPhone 3G. As u can see from the clip, there is a bit of lag and is a bit annoying to use.

From what I’ve had a play with so fat, it seems to work fine, the camera doesn’t work, though wifi does so that great. I don’t have a normal sized sim to test the phone feature, but I’ve heard that it works.

One drawback is the lack of the android market place, but that is due to permissions, and the guys that have hacked this together more then likley wont get permission. There are some hacks that I’ve seen, but they seem really complex, and personally, I not going to waste my time trying.

Also, when it goes into standby, there is this annoying continuous clicking sound.

Here is a little video clip I made from my iPhone4 showing my iPhone3G starting up andriod.

Converting to WordPress

Converting a static website to a WordPress theme sounds like a daunting task, but after performing a few Google searches and reading up a bit about it, it doesn’t seem like such a complex task (providing you have a simple static website).

I’ve just spent the last few hours trying to convert a rather complex static website layout to WordPress and though I have got the index page to 99% of the original, the fun bit is now doing the other dozen or so pages, individual page header graphics, and so on. Not a simple as it seems. I think I’m going to have to employ a few plugins to help out along the way, but at this stage, I think just getting the fundamentals working and going from there. Come to think of it, I should have done this when I created the website from the PSD file that was given to me.

If you’d like to have a look at the website in question, click here. It is for my local church. Any suggestions to plugins or any other methods are welcome. Just leave a comment.
