I’m a frequent Microsoft Outlook (currently using 2007) user and have been for many years. I just can’t see to get away from it, and I’m yet to find anything that comes close to it. One thing that keeps me is that I can sync my phone with it, which in turns syncs with my Google Calendar.
Up until today, I’ve always looked at the little phone button on the toolbar and wondered how that works. Well, it’s a lot simpler then I though. I just had to plug a modem in to the phone line, and hit the button and it makes a call. How awesome is that!?!?! Now I can call anyone in my contact list with the hit of a button, instead of reading it and then keying it into my phone, then pick up my phone. Oh, and the best part about it is that this works over my VoIP line. Free calls and lazy dialing!!

Here are some photo from my father in-law took just after the torrential rain.

These are just a few photos from around the place, but doesn’t show some of the worst. There is a housing estate a short drive from here and they had about 3 feet of water through all the homes. It was sad to see everyone there moving all their furniture and other personal effects out to the footpath and into bins.
My in-laws also lost a huge chunk from their retaining wall. Below are some photos.

These photos don’t really show the scale of this. This is going to be pretty costly to fix.

I’m guessing that some of you have heard about the floods in Mackay, Queensland. I heard on the news last night thats it’s the worst in 90 years. I only seen a few photos of the water damage on a news site. Lisa’s parents live up there, an well, half of their backyard has slipped away. We are currently on our way up there now to help out where we can. Pretty brave considering there are some flash flooding warnings. I’ll try and get some photo’s of the slippage and will post them. ps. I posted this using my phone so sorry for the one huge paragraph.
I should have written a post about this earlier, and I was going to, but I never did actually get around to it. Starting today, I’m going on a cruise to the South Pacific aboard the Pacific Sun.
We have just spent a night in a river view hotel in just out from the Brisbane CBD and I can see the ship from where I am now. I’m starting to get really excited and can’t wait to get on it.
The particular cruise that we are going on is called Week Fantastique which starts in Brisbane and goes to Noumea, Lifou, and Vila, then back to Brisbane after 7 nights.
I really can’t wait to get on the ship. I’ve never been on a cruise, so I have no idea what to expect, though I do know a few people who have been and say it’s great fun.
I’m planing on taking a lot of photo’s while I’m away, and will upload some of them when I get back home in a week.
