Hi Liam, unfortunately the source where I got this from is no longer available. I don't know if it will work with SP3, but it did work with SP2. There were a few issues trying to get it to work, but it will eventually with SP2.

Dear Chris,

I was wondering if you could post a link to JUST the upgrade to MCE and will it work with XP Pro SP3?

Hi David,

From memory, I did this install on my existing install of XP Pro. I would recommend making a backup of your system in case something goes wrong, but it should work fine. The download source that I originally used (since been removed), had 2 cd images. The first was WinXP and the second was a convert disc that had the necessary files to convert to MCE.

Dear Sir,
I write to you because I have a pinnacle tv card, everytime I try to install the drivers, a pop up box tells me that I need Microsoft Media Center, and I have Win XP professional SP2. Surfing the net I foun your page, and I would like to know whether you please could tell me if I am able to convert my xp pro to media center without formatting my computer and installing Media Center properly.
I send you my best regards,

David Pérez

Not sure what link you are talking about. All links in this post work. If you are referring to a link in one of the linked sites, sorry, but I cannot control that.

In terms of the cd not being bootable, your download may be corrupt, so you might want to download it again, or find an alternative. That link provided is not my original source, and I now no longer remember where I got it from, but there are alternative sources that work, I just don't know about them.
